What Confirmation Means To Me
“To me confirmation means growing up and
becoming an adult in the church.
By getting confirmed I am
saying what I believe.
Confirmation has taught me a
lot about Jesus and what it is like to be a
Christian.
God is always there for us
and loves us no matter what.
Even though I’m not perfect
and I make mistakes, God forgives me and loves me
anyway.
By getting confirmed I am
saying I will follow Jesus and live by His example
of loving and accepting everyone no matter how they
look or what they do.
And this is what I will try
my best to do.”

“Faith
is believing in Jesus when there is no proof that he
does exist – Jesus is like a guide to life.
Faith is a rule of life
written on my heart that I am a Christian and I will
be a follower for the rest of my life.
My family as affected my faith to a great
extent.
My grandmother has always
shown me the way to greater faith in Christ.
My mother has taken me to
church and taught me about the wonders of Jesus.
They both have been
wonderful examples by showing me the path to
becoming a better Christian.”

“To me confirmation is when you are fully
accepted into the church after you’ve learned about
God and all that He has done for us.
I also think it is when you
learn about what God is and what His practices are.
Being confirmed makes me
feel like I am finally a part of the church.
I have learned a lot of
stuff in confirmation like the meaning of the Lord’s
Prayer and why God forgave our sins.
Even though I haven’t been in the church for
very long, I noticed it wasn’t like other churches I
went to.
It (Peace) is better.
I noticed that the church
members were very friendly and active than people at
my other church.
I wish I didn’t have to move
because I’ll miss all of the people here and
especially Thursday night youth group.
That was probably my
favorite part of the church because it is so fun and
active.”

“Confirmation means to become a full member
of the church, and growing up from the little kid
that used to attend Sunday school.
It means to grow in your
Christian Faith, and get even closer to God by
learning more about Him.
Confirmation is a mature and
public profession of faith; it is the sacrament in
which we receive the Holy Spirit in a special way.
When you get confirmed, it’s
allowing you to know that you’ve become an adult in
the Christian faith.
It signifies your lifelong
pledge of faithfulness to Christ.”

Katie Boling, confirmed in

“To me, confirmation means that I have taken
a giant leap of faith following God and His
teachings.
I have budged over from a
child of faith into a young man learning about God’s
ways.
Being confirmed does not
just represent that I have successfully completed
confirmation class but it means I have also learned
the true purpose of Jesus coming down on earth to
sacrifice Himself for me.
He came down to save us from
our sins not just because He cared about us but
because He loved us for who we are and we are all
God’s children.
God showed us the ultimate
love of all and that is that He sacrificed His own
son to live among us and die for us so we could go
up to heaven and live with God in his glorious
kingdom and praise Him forevermore.
That is what confirmation
means to me.
Amen.”

“Confirmation means that you are growing up.
It is being an adult in
God’s eyes.
Learning the ways of God is
also very important and studying the Bible, are ways
of reaching this and pledging yourself to God.
After I get confirmed, I am
looking forward to take my first communion, which is
the next step to being one of God’s people.
Confirmation means a lot to
me, and I cannot wait to share it with my friends
and family.
