Throughout the year, Peace Lutheran serves the communities of Charles County by providing access to our facilities, assistance with food and other expenses, and by participating in church-initiated, and community organized fund raising events.  The summary below is just a small portion of our annual service to God's people.

 

Services Open to the Community

 

Food Pantry

Hours of Operation:
    1st & 3rd Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    2nd & 4th Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Peace Lutheran Church Food Pantry is an emergency pantry, serving the areas of Waldorf,
White Plains, and Bryantown.  Eligible residents may receive 3 days worth of emergency food from
our pantry once a month.

  • You must live in our service area, Waldorf, White Plains, or Bryantown
  • You must provide us with I.D., preferably a photo I.D. with current address
  • You may receive food from the pantry once every 30 days

Would you like to help?  There are some items that are always in short supply.
If you are considering a donation of groceries, please consider the following items:

Safe Nights

Meeting Days & Hours:
    Safe Nights for winter 2010 will be the week of December 12.
    Hours are 7:00pm and &;00 am, Sunday to Sunday.
    Please consider volunteering to help this winter.
    We look forward to serving the community again this winter.

Angels Watch Meals

Providing meals for a shelter for abused women and children in
Hughesville, Md.  Once a month members of Peace prepare and
deliver a dinner to the shelter.  Sign-up in the Narthex if you would like to help, or contact Social Concerns for more information.
