Summer Movie Nights at Peace

We will gather, young and young at heart, three Friday nights over the summer to enjoy fellowship and a movie!  Mark Friday, June 19th for "Finding Nemo", Friday, July 9th for "Toy Story", and Friday, August 6th for "Horton Hears a Who" all starting at 7pm.  this is a family event and if you have been to worship at Peace, you are part of our family and invited!  Young ones can come in pajamas and bring sleeping bags and pillows...mini lock-in style.  Parents, grandparents, and siblings too cool for pajamas, and all others wishing to join, can bring your favorite lawn chair (or make do with our red ones for a few hours).  Popcorn and drinks provided..

New Peace Photo Directory Planned

A lot has changed about Peace and its members since the last pictorial directory was produced.  The Communications Ministry is in the planning stages of a project to provide a new directory to members.  This time around the directory will be produced entirely in house without the involvement of a professional photography studio.  That means you will not have to be concerned about pressure to buy expensive portraits, or making appointments to have your family photo taken.  Photos will be taken on Sunday mornings in the Narthex and will require only a moment of your time.  Much more information will be coming, but for now we are looking for interested individuals to serve as photographers and other support roles.  Contact Dan in the church office if you are interested in participating in this project.

money management

More Than Money Matters:  Stewardship and Values

Are you a good steward of your resources?  Join us on August 29th in the Fellowship Hall for a free, interactive, educational workshop that will help you make more intentional choices about how you share, save and spend your money.  It will be presented by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans at 9:45 a.m. and will last approximately 1 hour.
