Chemo Hat Workday

The Ministry of Peace Stitchers is to knit, crochet or sew chemo hats for patients experiencing hair loss. The Stitchers got together on February 18th for a day of work producing the hats.

Book Club

Next meeting: Monday, Feb. 13, 7 pm at Panera Bread/Waldorf. Book: "Mighty Be Our Powers" by Leymah Gbowee, (who, with Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has been awarded the Nobel Peace prize since this book was published). On Monday, March 12, we will meet to discuss "The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb: A Novel" by Melanie Benjamin (at the same time & place). Come join us, or talk with Eileen Doherty, Judy Rudolf, Linda Finamore or Stephen Foster for more information.

Youth Auction and Talent Show

Sunday, March 24th, 2012 Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

Join us for this year's entertaining and exciting talent show and auction. All proceeds from this year's effort will be donated to the Capital Appeal Fund.

Christmas in April

Ledo Pizza in Waldorf, MD is hosting a fundraiser for Christmas in April on January 24, 2012 from 4 - 9 pm. You can participate by dining in or by carryout orders. Christmas in April is the leading non-profit that repairs the homes of the elderly and disabled in Charles County.
