Social Concerns

Our ministry exists to serve in response to God's love to meet human needs, caring for the sick and the aged, advocating dignity and justice for all people, working for peace and reconciliation among the nations and standing with the poor and powerless, and committing itself to their needs.   We sponsor the Food Pantry, Angel's Watch, Hughesville Women's Shelter, Christmas in April, and many other special programs.  To learn more or to join our ministry, contact Pam Sparks.

Youth

Our mission is to provide a positive, encourageing atmosphere for youth of all ages where they can grow spiritually closer to God while enjoying fellowship in fun activities, events, and while serving others.  Every first Sunday of the month the Youth Committee meets after church to plan upcoming events.  We encourage middle and high school youth to volunteer to coordinate many of our activities.  To learn more to to join our ministry, please contact Becky Conrad.

Our ministry serves to provide the foundation for a lifetime of faith and Christian growth in learners of all ages.  We provide Sunday School classes for all ages, conduct a Christmas program, organize and hold annual Vacation Bible School, and many other events throughout the year.  Volunteers are needed as teachers, leaders, helpers, coordinators, and more.  To learn more about this ministry or to join us contact Sharon Altman.

Finance

Throughout the Bible, God instructs each of us to be good stewards of our money; to act responsibly, protect, share, and give accordingly.  This is the role the Finance Ministry plays for our congregation.  We serve to insure that the financial intentions of the congregation are being met and that we're acting responsibly with the gifts and offerings given by ach of us.  There are many opportunities to serve in this important mission.  To learn more, or to join our ministry, please contact Michael Foster

Stewardship

Our lives are gifts from God.  We are given everything in this life, ourselves, our time, and our possessions, all given because God loves us beyond our ability to comprehend.  Stewardship is about what we do with those gifts, and returning a portion of everything back to God.  Our ministry is about helping the children of God give back to God through time, talent, and treasure.  We encourage all to return to God first from those three categories of gifts.  To learn more or to join our ministry, please contact Daryl Faustini.

Young Adults

The Young Adult Ministry at Peace Lutheran Church is for 20 and 30-somethings who want to share in the challenges of balancing family, friends, faith and the future.  We provide support for each other in the various challenges we may be facing and we grow spiritually closer to God and closer to each other during this fellowship.  We welcome all Young Adults to join us; those that are solid in their faith and those who may be struggling; those who do not regularly attend church and those who do.
