Our baptism is a significant part of our faith journey as we come from the baptismal waters to live a new life as children of God. Marked with the cross of Christ and sealed by the Spirit, we receive a new identity as followers of Jesus, and the story of Jesus becomes our story. Together we hope and pray that those being baptized will be nurtured in the faith, grow into their baptism, learn to trust God, and live as disciples of Jesus. Weddings are a celebratory event when you and your future spouse will come together in the company of loved ones, expressing your love and commitment to one another, while asking God's blessing upon your union. The church is called to emulate Christ's love, which serves as a model for your love towards one another and the new relationship you establish in marriage, as you seek God's blessing to enrich your shared life. This pattern of love spreads to the home you build together, transforming it into a sanctuary of love, joy, and peace. To learn more, read Peace Lutheran’s wedding guide.
