Peace Participating at PrEP for Pride

Peace Lutheran Church will have a booth to share more about its inclusive and affirming community at the Charles County Department of Health's first LGBTQIA+ Pride Festival, PrEP for Pride, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from noon to 7:00pm. Volunteers are needed to assist with the booth during the event; if you can spare a couple of hours on Saturday, please contact Becky D'Ambrosio at becky@myplc.org.


Confirmation Bootcamp Update & Schedule

Our initial cohort of Confirmation bootcamp students will graduate in the coming weeks. The entire faith community is encouraged to attend their graduations to show support and to join in affirming the community's commitment to living and praying in faith alongside them.


Pastor Eric will guide the confirmation students through the rite of confirmation one last time on Sunday, May 21, at noon, and parents/guardians are encouraged to join their children. The lesson on Sunday will run approximately 35-45 minutes.


Confirmation will be held during worship on Sunday, May 28 and Sunday, June 4.


Trivia Night & Silent Auction Update

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated items for the silent auction, helped with planning and running the event, and came to have fun, fellowship and Fundraise. When all was said and done, we raised over $2,800.


If you go to any of the following businesses, please ask to speak to a manager and thank them for their support of Peace Lutheran Church. It’s a great way to connect to the community and let others know we are here to share God’s word and love!

David Constantine Presenting Recitals at CSM

The Ward Virts Concert Series at the College of Southern Maryland welcomes David Constantine to the stage for percussion recital:


May 20 at 7:30pm: Preview recital May 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brad and Linda Gottfried Theater at the Fine Arts Center, College of Southern Maryland La Plata Campus. This event is free and open to the public.


May 21 at 3:00pm: Ward Virts Concert Series performance College of Southern Maryland Prince Frederick Campus, Building B, Multipurpose Room 104. This event is free and open to the public.


Gender, Sexuality, and Theology Conversations

The Episcopal Churches of Southern Maryland and Peace Lutheran Church invite you to join a three-week course on Gender, Sexuality, and Theology with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Maynard. The sessions will be held on May 4, 11, and 18 beginning at 7:00pm on Zoom. Pre-registration is required and you can choose to attend one or all of the sessions. The registration link below includes a link to submit questions in advance.

Quilters Putting Faith Into Action

Peace Lutheran Church's quilters have been an essential ministry team for many years, and they continue to assemble throughout the month to create warm quilts to be shipped around the world via Lutheran World Relief, as well as chemo hats for local distribution. The quilters require your generous gift of time to continue such an important ministry.
