Social Media and Communications Intern
Peace Lutheran Church seeks to hire a Social Media and Communications Intern to assist with enhancing the church’s presence on social media, and its internal and external communications efforts.
This is a wonderful opportunity for current college students, recent college graduates, or those looking to hone and expand their social media and communications skills, build up their resume with real hands on experience, and make a difference.
Optimize the church website and enhance social media presence through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube; post updates and announcements
Manage communications schedule (weekly emails, text messages, and new visitor follow-ups)
Manage the church database
Coordinate volunteer scheduling
Assist with video editing
Working knowledge of social media platforms and applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and WordPress
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to work remotely, with access to the internet and email capabilities as well as a personal email account.
Benefits and Compensation
This is a part-time, unpaid internship. However, Peace Lutheran Church offers a flexible weekly work schedule between 10- to 20 hours per week.
If you are a current college student and your degree program requires an internship for college credit, we will work with you to ensure you meet your program requirements.
