Each winter between October and April LifeStyles, Inc.  of Maryland  manages a program called Safe Nights. The program is designed to help the homeless get through the winter months and beyond. Each host church takes at least one week, providing a place to sleep, breakfast and dinner and sometimes lunches for the guests. Since the beginning, Peace has been involved. In 2005, we alternated weeks until enough churches signed on to host.  Volunteers are needed to provide meals, stay overnight, do laundry (not personal) and to except the equipment and luggage at the beginning of the week and to help load and transport the equipment and luggage to the next host church.
