Stewardship
Rooted in Christ's Compassion - Stewardship 2024
Financial giving to the church serves as a profound expression of our faith and roots us in Christ's compassion. It is a practice deeply rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus, who consistently emphasized the importance of caring for others, particularly the less fortunate. In the Christian tradition, generosity is seen as a reflection of God's boundless love and grace. By financially supporting the church and its various ministries, we align ourselves with Christ's mission of compassion and service to the world. This act of giving enables us to actively participate in the work of the church, supporting those in need, spreading the message of love, and fostering a deeper connection with our faith. In this way, financial giving becomes a tangible and powerful way to live out Christ's compassion and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
The 2024 stewardship campaign is based on the mission statement of Peace Lutheran, which states that the faith community is rooted in Christ's compassion. Peace Lutheran actively addresses food insecurity in Charles County, advocates for and welcomes LGBTQIA+ individuals, builds interfaith and ecumenical relationships, partners with other community-focused groups and organizations, and responds to the greater needs of the world. To continue following where the Spirit is leading Peace Lutheran Church, your commitment of regular offerings of time, talent and treasure are essential.

Stewardship packets will be mailed out to every household by the end of October 2023. On Sunday, December 10, 2023, we will gather to celebrate the ministry of Peace Lutheran Church and bless the 2024 pledge cards during an Advent worship service.
