“Faithful Stewards: Renewing, Rejoicing, Responding” celebrates our gratitude for God’s abundant gifts and calls us to renew our commitment to sustaining our church’s ministry and mission. As we respond to God’s grace with joyful generosity, we look forward with hope—caring for our shared home and supporting one another as a vibrant community of faith.

What is Stewardship?

Stewardship is a celebration of God's blessings, recognizing God as the creator and giver of all that we have and are, then joyfully serving God as stewards of God's gifts.

The Holy Spirit strengthens our faith through worship and Bible study, and we joyfully give our time, talent, and treasures to share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ

WHAT IS THE STEWARDSHIP OF THE GOSPEL?

Adam and Eve, the original stewards, fell into sin and broke their relationships with God, each other, and creation. Through His death and resurrection Christ redeemed the world and gives us the Holy Spirit. When we recognize that we have nothing except what the Lord entrusts to us, we can joyfully return a portion to the owner, God. In our response to God’s love, forgiveness, and grace we use the Creator’s gifts for God's purposes and seek ways to glorify God. Stewardship is sanctification — the work of the Holy Spirit through us, using our gifts as God intended.

A LIFE OF THANKSGIVING

Stewardship isn’t about how much the steward gives or serves. It is about what the Lord gives and how the steward is called to share those blessings for the sake of those who don’t know Jesus. Stewardship is not a subcategory of the Christian life; it is the Christian life. It is a joyous lifestyle rooted in gratitude for all God has done for us and generously lived out through growing in God's Word, serving the Lord, and sharing the Gospel message with others.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP?

The heart of stewardship is the task of sharing the Gospel for the purpose of making disciples. Not only does it benefit the recipient, but also strengthens the faith of the steward. In short, the purpose of stewardship aligns with the mission of St. Paul’s: strengthen the saved; save the lost.

Time, Talent, and Treasure

TIME

God’s stewards recognize that their stewardship flows out of God’s act of love for them in Christ which empowers them, in turn, to love others in acts of Christ-like love. As members of the body of Christ we are called to make disciples of all nations. We can support our church by giving our time to help one (or several) of Peace Lutheran Church's outreach ministries. Share your time and help share the eternal joy found in God’s forgiveness, grace and love.

TALENT

God blesses us with talents not to keep them to ourselves, but to share with others, giving glory to God for the purpose of making more disciples. We can share our talents through a variety of activities, projects, and ministries at Peace Lutheran Church. To learn more about how you can share your talents, connect with Pastor Eric.

TREASURE

Stewardship is the free and joyous activity of the child of God, not done out of obligation but rather from faithful response to God's generosity in the gift of Jesus Christ. Just as God generously gave God's only Son to die and rise so that we live with Him, God calls us to give generously. In response to God’s grace and mercy to us, and through the Holy Spirit, we thankfully and cheerfully give back to God's church. If God is faithful in our eternal salvation, we can also trust Him to provide our daily bread.

Important Dates

CAMPAIGN MAILING

Members of the congregation will receive the Faithful Stewards campaign mailing on or before Saturday, October 11, 2025

CAMPAIGN LAUNCH

The campaign will launch on Sunday, October 12 through Sunday, November 23, 2025. On the five Sundays of the campaign, the assembly will hear a series of temple talks discussing the themes of this year's campaign.

PLEDGE CARDS

Please submit your completed pledge card on or before November 23, 2025 (Christ the King Sunday). You can also submit your pledge electronically using the online form tab.

COMMITMENT DAY

On, Christ the King Sunday, November 23, 2025, we'll place our pledge cards on the altar as a sign of our commitment to God and the mission and ministry of the congregation. Following worship, we're conclude the campaign with our first "Great Lutheran Back Off" hospitality hour and fundraiser. For more details, see the flyer below.

The Campaign

ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP AND FAITHFUL GIVING

Each year, our congregation is invited to prayerfully discern how much we can give to support the ongoing mission and ministry of our church. This process is not only a practical necessity—it is a spiritual practice rooted in our faith. We believe that faithful giving is a call from God, the source of all that we have and all that we are. When we offer our gifts, we respond to God’s generosity with gratitude and trust, participating in God’s work in our community and beyond.

THE IMPORTANCE OF DISCERNMENT AND COMMITMENT

During our annual stewardship campaign, we encourage each member to reflect on how God is calling them to share their resources for the coming year. This is an important time to consider how we can each play a part in sustaining and growing the ministries that serve our congregation and our neighbors. Our giving enables worship, outreach, spiritual formation, and care for those in need.

THE PLEDGE CARD

Each household receives a pledge card, which serves as a tangible step of commitment. On Commitment Sunday, we bring our pledge cards forward, offering them before God and one another as a sign of our dedication. These pledges are essential—they allow our finance team to responsibly plan and formulate the church’s budget for the upcoming year, ensuring that our ministries are supported and our mission is carried out faithfully.
