We are excited to invite you to a powerful and engaging three-week book study this fall! Starting Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 11:30 am, we’ll gather to explore Burying White Privilege: Resurrecting Badass Christianity by Miguel A. De La Torre.
About the Book
In Burying White Privilege, Miguel A. De La Torre boldly confronts the deep roots of racism and white supremacy within American Christianity. Drawing from his experience as a scholar, activist, and theologian, De La Torre challenges Christians—especially those in positions of racial and social privilege—to recognize how the church has often perpetuated injustice instead of standing against it.
The book calls for a radical reimagining of what it means to follow Jesus: one that is grounded in justice, humility, and solidarity with the marginalized. De La Torre offers a prophetic critique of “Americanized” Christianity and urges believers to resurrect a faith that truly embodies love, liberation, and resistance to oppression. With courage and clarity, he provides both critique and hope, inviting us to be part of a faith that changes both hearts and society.
