Stewardship
Living Out God's Love
Through Time, Talent, and Treasure
At the heart of our faith is the understanding that everything we have—our time, our talents, and our financial resources—are gifts from God. Stewardship is how we faithfully and joyfully respond to these gifts, using them to love God and serve our neighbors. Whether you are new to the church or have been part of a faith community for years, stewardship is an invitation to participate in God’s work in the world.
What is Stewardship?
Stewardship is more than just financial giving—it’s a way of life. It’s about recognizing that all we have comes from God and using those gifts to reflect God’s love in the world. Stewardship is rooted in love: love for God, love for our neighbors, and love for creation

Time: Offering the Gift of Presence
Time is one of the most precious resources we have. Stewardship of time means dedicating moments of our lives to God’s work. This could look like:
-
Volunteering in church ministries or community outreach programs.
-
Spending time in prayer, worship, or Bible study to deepen your relationship with God.
-
Supporting others by being present for those in need—whether through a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply showing up.
Every moment we spend in service to others is a reflection of God’s love and grace.
Talent: Sharing Your
God-Given Gifts
Each of us has unique talents and abilities that can be used to serve others. Stewardship of talent means recognizing these gifts and offering them for the good of the church and the wider community. Whether you are skilled in teaching, music, organizing, cooking, or building, your talents can make a difference. Stewardship challenges us to reimagine how we use our gifts in response to God’s call to love and serve .
Some ways to share your talents include:

-
Singing in the choir or playing an instrument during worship.
-
Teaching Sunday school or leading a Bible study.
-
Using organizational or technical skills to support church operations.
-
Offering your professional expertise to help others in the congregation or community.
Treasure: Supporting God's Mission Financially
Financial stewardship is an important part of our faith journey. It’s a way to express gratitude for God’s blessings and to support the mission and ministry of the church. Through financial offerings, we join together to achieve things we could never do alone—feeding the hungry, supporting global missions, and sustaining the work of the church locally and worldwide.
Financial giving is not about obligation but about generosity and trust in God’s abundance. Whether you give a tithe (10% of your income) or another amount, every gift matters and contributes to God’s work in the world .
Why Stewardship Matters
Stewardship is not just about what we give—it’s about how we live. It’s a response to God’s grace and an opportunity to participate in God’s mission. Through stewardship, we grow in faith, build stronger communities, and make a lasting impact in the world.
Stewardship is a holistic practice that encompasses all aspects of our lives. It’s about living with a “daring confidence in God’s grace” and trusting that God will provide as we share our time, talents, and treasures .
